Hi folks. It’s been a while since my last post, but to prove that I haven’t been slacking here’s a WIP screenshot of the Sims 3 version of Maruševec Castle that I’ve been working on. And before anyone asks, no, the attic is not a dummy level.

Obviously, there is still lots of work to be done. Will post more screenshots soon.
Last night I began working on a new Sims 3 home based on Maruševec Castle in Croatia. The exterior is about 25% complete. While there are no screenshots of the in-game version available yet, I will post some of the images I am using to guide me in the building process…

Any questions?

Exterior Description: Fully decorated front and back yards. The latter has a swimming pool. Left side of the property leaves room for expansion. Driveway leaves room for extra parking spaces if the 2 garages are inadequate.
Additional Notes: There are three empty tiles between the wall surrounding the property and the edge of the property. I did this out of consideration for players who experience the bug in Sims 3 that results in lots sinking into the ground a little when they are placed. If this bug happens to you when placing this lot, it should still look ok regardless. If you don’t experience this bug and are in need of extra space in the yard, feel free to delete the wall and rebuild it closer to the property’s edge.

Modern bedroom…

Victorian-style bedroom…

The home gym is a bit on the colorful side, but hopefully the bright, cheery decor will keep sims in a good mood as they bust their butts on the treadmill…

Next post should include the download. About time, eh?
These two bedrooms were designed for child sims, and share a small bathroom.

Clearly a child who loves dinosaurs and pirates will be happiest in this bedroom.

Child should also have a deep appreciation for deadly weapons and demonic teddy bears.

The small size of the bathroom made it difficult for me to get a really good screenshot of it, but this should at least give you a decent idea of the color scheme…

This Miami-style mansion will have a total of 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Here are two bedrooms that share the same bathroom.

This next bedroom was specifically designed for a teenage sim…

And here’s the bathroom…

A few more screenshot posts before the house is available for download. Won’t be too much longer. ;)
Post title is self-explanatory. Here’s the first floor bathroom…

Yes, that’s a hot tub!

Here be a cute little home office. May be of special interest to sims in the business career…

If you have any questions about this upcoming residential lot, please let me know. Thanks a lot!

Dining room…

More screenshots are coming soon. Stick around. ;)

I will post daily screenshots of this house, then the file. Here are some images of the back yard…

It’s not an exact replica, obviously. I made several tweaks here and there to make it a functional dwelling for Sims to live in. Last but not least, the floorplan…

That’s all for now!
I’ve begun building houses for Sims 3, and Tumblr seems like as good a place as any to make them available to my fellow Simmers. Most houses will be free of both custom content and EA store content.
